My 50 Pound Weightloss

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all well. I am going to be back blogging on a regular basis and try to come up with creative content for each post. I have done a lot of soul searching in my absence and I am sure that you will love my new fresh approach to blogging.

For my first post I’m going to be talking about weight loss and how I managed to lose 50 pounds in a little over a year. I unfortunately don’t have many before pictures but I have some after pictures which I will share with you.

I am so happy for losing weight. I was initially 280 pounds, nearing 300. If I didn’t make a change I would likely develop diabetes and other ailments.

So, the first thirty pounds I lost was in the hospital. I was in a psychiatric hospital with meals provided to us and no snacks in between meals. I was in the hospital for two months and lost 30 pounds about.

The twenty pounds I lost afterward has been diligent and hard work for me to lose. I moved into a group home and we can eat whenever and whatever we want within reason. The pounds were lost by walking daily, consuming less calories, and letting some of my feelings towards food go. I realized food isn’t helping me advance as a person and it was actually dragging me down and making me tired. I eat as much healthy food that is available to me and I monitor how it makes me feel when I eat poorly.

I want to tell anyone who is trying to lose weight that it is a process. It took me a few months to lose the extra twenty pounds and of course I am still aiming to lose 70 more pounds. I am excited to lose more weight and feel better.

If you are still struggling, don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are tons of resources out there for you and you just have to ask.

Love,

Julie
